The Atlas agent skills teach coding agents to manage database schemas with the Atlas CLI, from onboarding a project to CI/CD and Kubernetes.
With the skills installed, your coding agent runs the Atlas CLI for schema work: it edits the desired schema, has Atlas plan the migration, and lints and tests the change before it reports it done.
Install
Claude Code installs the skills as a plugin. Codex, Cursor, and GitHub Copilot install them with the skills CLI, run from the root of your repository.
claude plugin marketplace add ariga/atlasclaude plugin install atlas@ariga
npx skills add ariga/atlas -a codex -y
npx skills add ariga/atlas -a cursor -y
npx skills add ariga/atlas -a github-copilot -y
Then start the onboarding skill. It sets up Atlas in your project one stage at a time, from schema as code to production, and checks each stage:
What the Skills Cover
- atlas: migrations, linting and custom rules, testing, drift detection, Data Scripts, and Atlas Cloud status.
- atlas-onboard: takes a project from the first scan to production.
- A database skill for PostgreSQL, MySQL and MariaDB, SQL Server, ClickHouse, Snowflake, Databricks, Redshift, Oracle, and Spanner. The agent loads the one that matches the project.
- atlas-action: the Atlas steps in CI/CD pipelines.
- atlas-operator: the Atlas Kubernetes Operator.
See Atlas Agent Skills for each skill's contents, updating the skills, and sharing them with your team.
